Because Dilwyn school has less than 36 pupils it has become subject to review under the Small Schools Policy of Herefordshire Council. As Dilwyn is a Church of England school, the council's review was carried out in consultation with Hereford Diocesian Board of Education. Following the review, the statutory process to consider the schools future has commenced and includes a consultative period until the 30th of April during which all interested parties can make their views known.
