Dog Fouling |
Dilwyn Parish Council Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 Once again the Parish Council has had reports of an increase in dog waste in Dilwyn and notably on the Village Green, but also on the Play area. These are area for public use and are played on by the village children. Not only is the presence of dog waste unpleasant and a nuisance to those of us who have to clean it off our shoes or mowing equipment, but it presents a health risk We remind people that it is a finable offence with fines up to £1000 for dogs to foul in the areas of land specified below:-
a) All footpaths, footways and carriageways maintained at public expense b) All grass verges, shrub beds and tree bases maintained at public expense c) All parks, play areas and leisure land owned by the council. If anyone does witness a dog fouling in the village and knows who the owners are please contact the Parish Council and we will take legal action against those individuals. Could we remind you to carry a supply of plastic bags and dispose of your dog’s waste hygienically.Thank you Kate Smith Clerk to Dilwyn Parish Council 07790 291247 This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it For full details of the Dogs (Fouling of Land) Act 1996 click here |
