    CEILIDH ? Dilwyn ceilidh will be held on Saturday in the Cedar Hall starting at 7pm. A sausage-and-mash supper will be followed by dancing to Village Folk, with a caller for the dances. Dessert will be served in the interval and there will be a licensed bar. All proceeds will go towards maintaining the Cedar Hall. Tickets cost £6 and £3 for children under 13, and are available from Trish Spry on 01544 318153.

    DRAMA GROUP ? Credenhill Community Hall has a very successful drama group which is looking for new members to join.     ANNUAL YARD SALE ? Canon Pyon and District British Legion is holding its annual yard sale at the Old Post Office, Kings Pyon (next to Kings Pyon Church) on Sunday in aid of the Legion Poppy Appeal. Starting at 10am, refreshments will be available. Everyone welcome.

    QUIZ NIGHT ? Canon Pyon School and the Bush Inn, Bush Bank, are holding a quiz night on Friday, September 26. Teams can enter from 8pm, quiz starts at 8.30pm. Teams of four to six people, entry fee £10. A raffle will also be held on the night. Please come and support a lovely village school.

    ON YER BIKE! ? The time has come again for the annual Historic Churches Trust?s Ride and Stride. On Saturday, good folk will be cycling and walking around our parishes, they have been sponsored to visit as many churches as possible. Castle Frome Church will be manned all day with light refreshments available for cyclists and walkers. We have a lovely churchyard which is ideal for a picnic lunch if the weather is kind to us. We look forward to a lot of visitors.
