Dilwyn's Heating Oil Syndicate
Dilwyn's Heating Oil Syndicate is a scheme, organised by Peter Stilwell, that groups together members oil orders so that a discounted price can be negotiated with the various suppliers covering our parish.The scheme has now been running successfully for several years giving parishioners the best price for whatever quantity they order. This means that those who only require a small top-up of say 500 litres can still benefit from the full negotiated discounted price.
An analysis of orders from September 2014 to September 2015 shows the total quantity ordered by members as 151,410 litres at an average negotiated price of 39.09p per litre which results in a £59,186.17 total cost. Further analysis of the figures shows that members acheived an overall shared saving of £15,141, which demonstrates the scheme's effectiveness.

Membership is both open and free to all Dilwyn residents.
