The Cedar Hall

cedarhall180In 1962 parishioners decided they needed a new community hall. After raising £10,000, the new hall was eventually opened in March 1973. Dilwyn's new community center became known as the Cedar Hall and is now run as a registered charity. It is located next to the school. Regular users include the Dilwyn Young Farmers, Keep fit and Yoga classes, Cedar club, Dance club, Playgroup and Mums and Tots. The hall is also used for special events such as weddings, parties, wakes and various fund raising social events.  As a new inovation, the hall offers a monthly produce and craft market.
More recently the roof was refurbished and alterations and minor building works were undertaken to provide the playgroup with its own secure space whilst other activities take place. As a result, the playgroup now offers its services for a full five days during term times.
