Dilwyn Playgroup is a friendly, play-oriented pre-school where children are encouraged to learn and develop into confident, independent individuals. It is run from the Cedar Hall in the heart of the village of Dilwyn. The Playgroup was first established in 1973 and run by parents. It has developed into an Ofsted registered pre-school setting for 2 to 4 year olds. An experienced, qualified and caring team of staff look after the children, with a high ratio of adults to children meaning individual care and attention is possible.
Children can start at Playgroup when they turn 2 years old (and also if they are still in nappies/pull-ups). Parents are welcome to stay to settle in their children with a free trial session available.

  • The Playgroup offers full day sessions on Monday, Tuesday and Friday with the options of 9am to noon, 9am to 1pm or 9am to 3pm.
  • On Thursdays they currently offer 9am to noon or 1pm.
  • Nursery Education Funding (NEF) is available from the term following your child’s 3rd birthday and parents are able to spread their 15 hours entitlement over the week.
  • The facility is only open during term-time.
